Military logistics operations face a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) world. In this time of rising geopolitical tensions, supply chains are under continuous pressure. This is especially true for military supply chains that deliver the supplies and equipment needed for any mission to be successful. This entails establishing a logistics network that cannot be disrupted, as that would put the safety and operating capabilities of troops at risk.
SCM Globe supply chain simulation software addresses key logistics training and planning challenges that military organizations face in this VUCA world. Working as a subcontractor on a Defense Health Agency (DHA) proof of concept project we added a logistics dimension to a federation of other VR training simulations (see below). And we’ve been selected to present our findings in December this year at the world’s largest military training and simulation conference, Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference – I/ITSEC

Different VR training simulations in the federation took place at different locations such as: a point of injury out in the field; a helicopter transporting a patient from the point of injury; and at a surgical hospital. These different locations were represented as facilities or vehicles in the supply chain model that we created to support the activities occurring in the other VR simulations. This is shown in the screenshots below. See more about this in our blog post “Military Medical Logistics Training Simulations“.
SCM Globe is easily understood by logistics and non-logistics personnel. And it’s usable by all levels of logistics personnel, not just small groups of experts at headquarters. Use our simulations for training, and for planning and monitoring real missions:
- Quickly plan and simulate any supply chain, anywhere in the world.
- Drag and drop to place facilities, vehicles and routes on maps.
- Easy control of supply chain variables to explore different decisions.
- View inventory levels, vehicle utilization and operating costs.
- What works best in simulations also works best in the real world
SCM Globe is ready to empower military planners and logistics personnel with powerful, easy-to-use applications for training, logistics planning, and managing supply chains in high change environments. Please take a look, we think you’ll like what you see. Click here for a free trial account.
