A lively conversation in the spring of 2011 led to the founding of SCM Globe. We saw how supply chain operations modeling, agile software development, and a map-based user interface design could be combined to create an easy to use supply chain simulation and collaboration platform that nobody had created before. We've been improving and enhancing SCM Globe each year since then based on customer feedback and what we learn. The company is led by its two co-founders. Our headquarters is located in Chicago, Illinois USA.

I'm co-founder and CEO of SCM Globe, providing cloud-based supply chain modeling and simulation applications for education and business. I have designed and delivered supply chain applications for clients such as Microsoft Xbox, Starbucks Coffee, US Navy Medical Logistics Command, and the World Food Program. I was invited to brief the commanding general of the US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) on the topics of resilience and command and control in global supply chains.
Previously I was chief information officer (CIO) of an $8 billion distribution cooperative where I developed a suite of supply chain and e-business systems that transformed the company's operations and revenue model. For this work I received the CIO 100 Award for resourcefulness, the InformationWeek 500 Award for innovation and the Premier 100 Award for career achievement. I earned my MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and am author of Essentials of Supply Chain Management, translated into seven different languages and now in its 4th edition. Amazon.com reports it as a top selling supply chain book worldwide since 2004.
